Mfg Item #: CR556LCA1

Using the HK MR556A1 and input from many competitive shooters, the Competition model was developed for both casual shooters and the most demanding competitor. It retains many standard features of the MR556A1, including a German-made long service barrel produced by HK's famous cold hammer forging, and HK's piston operating system which uses a gas piston and pusher rod to improve reliability and reduce cleaning/maintenance. Ideal for 3-gun matches, the Competition Model is optic-ready, and includes a free-floating, 14" Modular Rail System (MRS) handguard which is lightweight and easy to customize while presenting a more ergonomic, comfortable handguard surface compared to rectangular full rail systems. The extended magazine release allows for quick magazine changes, and an innovative compensator by Operator Suppressor Systems Inc. (OSS) replaces the standard MR flash hider. The Magpul CTR (Compact/Type Restricted) buttstock is easy to adjust, with a profile and weight ideal for competitive shooters. This low-capacity Competition model includes one 10-round magazine.
